Tree removal: Removing a HUGE Manitoba Maple!
We were contacted to remove a Manitoba Maple tree (also called box elder) in the South Keys area of Ottawa. When we got there to take a look, we were surprised at just how big this tree was: it spanned over FIVE different houses! At first, the tree looked ok, but after climbing up into it, could see many problems: cavities that had formed in the tree, cracks, fungus, and decay. It needed to be cut down.

Not Elm-entary: removing a dead elm tree in Lindenlea
We removed this dead Elm tree. It was spreading out over three different houses, with a mess of cables going through it. There were two power lines and six(!) different communications lines. On top of all that, it was over three back yards, which were highly landscaped with:
- 2 gazebos
- 2 sheds
- 3 decks
- a water feature
- fences
- young trees and bushes
all of which needed protecting. There was just a tiny spot into which we could lower branches.
